Bad Flash Player 9 Bug – Page Faults Causing Serious Performance Problems

September 20th, 2007 by Steven Sacks

A friend of mine is the lead game designer at Cartoon Network and he told me they've been chasing phantom performance issues for over a month now and they finally figured out this is what it was.

Flash Player 9 Bug

This type of bug can cause potential issues for Papervision3D people, as well as anyone who needs performance from the Flash Player. Raise the flag, ring out the alarm, get this thing noticed so it will hopefully be fixed!

The link doesnt work. When you click it you are directed to a page which does not exist because it starts with http://http://. When you remove the extraneous http:// the adobe page redirects you to a wikipedia entry on the HTTP protocol.
